HunchLab provides every team in your department with the tools they need to effectively prevent crime.

Predictive Missions

HunchLab uses the crime priorities that you set and the resources that you have available to design focus areas for you, shift by shift. The system knows how important preventing an assault is in comparison with preventing a burglary based upon the weights that you set.

Using these weights, HunchLab’s crime forecasts for each location, and the amount of resources you have available, HunchLab automatically designs the best mission areas for you to address.

By using the GPS location pulled from an MDT, smartphone, or tablet, HunchLab pushes valuable contextual information to officers in the field. The forecasted risk of each crime type is displayed no matter where the unit is located within the jurisdiction.

Predictive mission areas are displayed when appropriate along with relevant tactics and spatial notes.

It’s the perfect mobile sidekick for your superheroes.

Working with command staff, analysts can design evidence-based tactics to use in response to particular crime types. Tactics can also be limited to a particular geographic area (such as a division or district) or based upon proximity to a geographic feature such as a school or bar. Appropriate tactics are automatically displayed to officers when entering mission areas.

While software can do much to help focus your efforts, the meaningful tactics that you execute within these high risk areas are what really make the difference.

The spatial notes capability in HunchLab allows analysts to publish intelligence to the field. Attach M.O. notes about a crime series to an area of activity or publish a notification of a newly released prisoner’s home address.

HunchLab automatically pushes spatial notes to officers in the field where they are most useful.

Hosted in Amazon data centers, HunchLab keeps your data secure with leading best practices. Data stays in the geographic region that meets your security requirements. Client connections are protected with robust encryption. Software patches are automatically deployed. It's all handled for you.

Using the cloud, servers are automatically started to handle increased system load. The elasticity of the cloud not only lets us handle increases in user traffic, but also lets us harness large quantities of computing power to run robust statistical models. Ten officers or 10,000—no sweat.

The application is hosted redundantly in at least two distinct data centers. Even if one data center is destroyed by a natural disaster, the application would automatically continue to function. It would even heal itself by starting servers to replace those that were lost. That's the power of the cloud.
